Together with GeeJay & Green, we Little India-ed on Sunday.

From their new apartment at City Square Residence, we walked to Dunlop Street for what they claimed, good & yummy food! Better be good, cause we had to walk, in my opinion, quite a distance and also, Little INDIA on a SUNDAY, lots of ermmm.. Haha!
I had wanted to eat Fish Head Curry so badly, but they are from UK, they never like seeing the head of a fish! According to GeeJay, the place offers Western & Indian food.. so, I didn’t mind checking out!
Dunlop Street, all I remembered about that street was 3-4 years ago, my quest to Little India to hunt the backpackers hostel & pub – Prince of Wales. Along that street, you find a reasonable amount of backpackers. But honestly, if I were a backpacker, give me Khao San, Thailand anytime! That place is definitely more happening than Singapore any day. And of course, things are relatively much cheaper!
Anyhow, we went to The Countryside Cafe that’s on 71 Dunlop Street.
I was still feeling intoxicated from the night’s drinking, if not, I would have ordered my favourite yellow liquid – beer! If I’m didn’t remember wrongly, its $19 for 2 pints of Erdinger/Konig Ludwig. And, there’s no service charge!

The different currencies that are pasted on the wall!

The feel is quite cosy on the other side of the wall.. its just a small cafe, with probably 5-6 tables indoor, and 3 tables outdoor.
Introducing my 2 partner-in-crimes..

Green.

GeeJay.

Both gave me hilarious stares when I added salt into my Coke! I love the cup by the way!
They have several choices for soup, so I asked the server for the best and he recommended Cream of Mushroom.

I think the soup so-so only, it tasted like Campbell’s..
Green’s main..

The hamburger! I didn’t have a bite of it, but the way he ate it, looked yummy or probably he was way too hungry :p
GeeJay & I both ordered the Sirloin Steak. So much for wanting the Fish Head Curry, they had fish curry, but I was tempted by the steak!

I wouldn’t give A for it, but the steak was definitely better than some restaurants and was cooked to what I asked for – medium rare.
